The revolving title of "World's Fastest Man,'' could soon belong to American Tyson Gay. So could all the second-guessing that goes along with such an honor.

Gay, the defending outdoor world champion in the 100 meters and a favorite to become the next Olympic champion in track's premier event, isn't asking anyone to believe him if he wins in Beijing.

"People will believe what they want to believe,'' he said. "The difference with me is, and I don't want to sound real spiritual or anything like that, but it seems like anything that happens in the dark comes to light.''
